This report analyzes pilot projects in the municipalities of Amersfoort and Zwolle aimed at promoting the reuse of electrical appliances through recycling centers. In Amersfoort, a systematic approach—such as asking questions at the entrance barrier and using clear signage—led to a doubling of the collected appliances.

In Zwolle, appliances were tested at the recycling center, resulting in higher sellability and reduced unnecessary transport. While both municipalities achieved successes, additional staffing proved not to be cost-effective. Optimization of existing staff tasks and on-site testing at the recycling center are recommended to improve efficiency and reuse.
