FutuRaM
Securing the supply of secondary & critical raw materials in the EU
FutuRaM will develop the Secondary Raw Materials knowledge base on the availability and recoverability of secondary raw materials (2RMs) within the European Union (EU), with a special focus on critical raw materials (CRMs). The project research will enable fact-based decision making for the recovery and use of 2RMs within and outside the EU, and disseminate the data generated via an accessible knowledge base developed in the project.
FutuRaM will focus on six waste streams:
- batteries;
- electrical and electronic equipment;
- vehicles;
- mining;
- slags and ashes;
- construction and demolition.

Zorgen voor de beschikbaarheid van secundaire en kritieke grondstoffen in de EU.
FutuRaM ontwikkelt een kennisbasis over de beschikbaarheid en terugwinbaarheid van secundaire grondstoffen (2RM’s) binnen de Europese Unie, met een speciale focus op kritische grondstoffen (CRM’s). Het projectonderzoek zal op feiten gebaseerde besluitvorming mogelijk maken voor het terugwinnen en gebruiken van 2RM’s binnen en buiten de EU, en de gegenereerde gegevens verspreiden via een toegankelijke kennisbank die in het project is ontwikkeld.
FutuRaM richt zich op zes afvalstromen:
- batterijen;
- elektrische en elektronische apparatuur;
- voertuigen; mijnbouw;
- slakken en as;
- bouw en sloop.
